Killiit (Fortune Bay) 69 15N 53 45W
This bay was our only stopping point on Disko Island.
Disko is a large island and has it's own ice cap. There are several anchorages on the south and west sides described in the RCC cruising guide.

| You don't see many sandy beaches like this one in Greenland. There was some very pleasant walking along the coast line with magnificent views of iceberg waters stretching across to the mainland. |  |

Maybe it is because the coast is facing south that some parts of this coastline are quite thick with vegetation. The lush green look makes a pleasant change. |
