Across the road from the Yuzana Garden Hotel the students of the Number One (drug free) State High School, formerly the Methodist English High School, practice their marching band routines in the lunch break.

The bright shining spires of the 100 year old Cathedral Of The Immaculate Conception attracted our attention.  As we hadn't seen a Christian church so far in Myanmar we were interested to see inside.

A familiar figure.  Tony was educated by the De La Salle brothers in Eccles in the North of England and immediately recognized their founding father.  

We were told that the neighbouring school used to belong to the Order and we believe that this is the location of Spike Milligan's alma mata!!  

A rare moment of tranquility in the city and we didn't even have to remove our shoes, just Tony's hat.
