Building Sarcophagus 037.jpg (38881 bytes) The gentlemen of the Banjar construct the sarcophahus for the cremation of the Aunt of the last King of Ubud.
Work continued for many days on the sarcophgaus and wada.  The head and legs were carved from wood and the body was shaped with woven bamboo. Building Sarcophagus 038.jpg (38951 bytes)
Building Sarcophagus 039.jpg (39455 bytes) The bamboo is covered with hessian then foam and finally black fabric.   A strong bamboo frame is constructed under the base.
