The weather deteriorated quickly, our hotel grounds were flooded and the staff greeted us at the veranda outside our rooms with large umbrellas.  The puddles are like small lakes.  We could only spend so long admiring the days folded napkins.  They seem to have a inexhaustible repertoire at the Emerald Land. So, what do you do on a wet day in Mandalay?  We had a car and driver booked to take us to the Ancient Capitals and U'Beins Bridge.   I had been looking forward to it for the best part of a year.  We set off hopefully for U'Beins Bridge but quickly gave up on our original plans.

Come rain or come shine, these passengers were going about their business as usual.
