Inle Lake

This was my reward at the end of an 11 k ride over very hilly bumpy roads. 

The natural hot spring baths of the Inle Khaugn Daing Spa Resort.  Of the three pools, I chose the smallest and hottest.  Tony prefered the cooler one.

We had this area to ourselves but spoke to another couple who had been sent to different pools, one for women and the other for men.  They were told there was nowhere they could bath together, we don't know why we were allowed and them not.

Lying in the pool I could see a monastery on top to the hill opposite so we climbed the 180 steps to see the view.  All the way back to Inle Lake in the distance.  

It was uphill all the way back too, how do they do that.

A pleasant walk over the bridge and out of the town of Naungshwe brings you to this small monastery.

The elderly monk who lives here loves to receive visitors and will make you very welcome.
