Chow and Thida cooking up a storm at the Golden Kite Restaurant, a favourite spot.   Just across the main road from the Nan Du Wunn Hotel.  The specialty of the house is Spaghetti Bolognese.  They have acquired a pasta maker and recipe from an Italian visitor and the rest is history.  The place is busy all day but packed in the evening with travelers looking for a change of diet.

Myo the young entrepreneur who runs the family business and his brothers, lead treks to hill tribe villages during the day.  They are a charming hard working family and I would recommend paying them a visit when in Nyaungshwe

2005 Update

The in between years have been kind to the to the family and they have relocated to huge new premises just a few doors away from the original restaurant.  When it is too hot for tourists to come, the lovely new dining room is used for large local weddings.
