Dyed and dried outside, the silk is turned over to the spinning department.

Although this is a plain length of silk destined to become a longi, the traditional sarong of Myanmar, many are woven in intricate patterns.  The weavers have mirrors with which to show you the underside (right side) of the finished fabric.

I love the colours of these silk yarns.
