Stone figures guard the honour courtyard at the entrance to the tomb.

Minh Mang was the dynasties second Emperor and built the Imperial City.

The best time to visit is in mid March when the lakes within the grounds are covered with lotus blooms.

They can be reached by car or by boat.
Thai Hoe Palace  Within the Citadel and surrounding the Forbidden City is the Imperial Enclosure where all the official ceremonies took place.   It was here at the Palace that the last Nguyen Emperor abdicated to Ho Chi Minh's delegation in 1945 Hue 382.jpg (39348 bytes)
