Last time we were here it was following a typhoon in the Bay of Bengal and far too wet to hike out to the waterfall.  Though it would  have had much more water in it then.  

We decided we could find it ourselves and we did - in spite of the directions in the Lonely Planet.

 

 

Fortunately you can see the fall in the distance and after a few wrong turns we made it.  We were not alone.  The local lads use it as a swimming hole , climbing to quite a  height and diving into the deep pool.  Rather them than me. 

Visited with a young family having a picnic lunch in their fields.

Of the restaurants we tried we enjoyed Hwai Ta  and Mr. Food.  All meals were good and cost approximately $3 US for two dishes shared amongst 3 with beer and a coke.

2005 Update.  Food still good but not quite so cheap.  The wall art has not improved.
