Erawan National Park

Two Hundred Kilometers northwest of Bangkok, this nature park cover some 550 square kilometers near the  Burmese border.  It was designated a park in  1975

Here a tributary of the Kwai Yai River cascades over the seven step Erawan (elephant) waterfalls..  It is a pleasant and easy ascent to the top.

A local guide for tourists recommends this romantic spot to "sweet hearted couples".   Take a bathing suit and a light pair of running shoes.

Also in this park is Phra That, the biggest limestone cave in Thailand and the Si Nakarin Dam.
