cowhead4.jpg (39570 bytes) Cow Head has the magnificent Gross Morne Park for a backdrop. This is a excellent harbour with lots of room.

There isn't a detailed harbour chart so just follow the red and green buoys. They look to be in strange positions but there is an uncharted shoal west of the entrance so believe the buoys!

cowhead 2.jpg (39219 bytes) The harbour is connected to the town on the mainland by this causeway. Not many people live near the harbour but there is usually someone around if you need a ride to get supplies.

Ted is an American who loves Newfoundland and lives six months a year in Cow Head near the harbour.
