Few of the rocks resemble anything recognizable on this planet.  An exception being this much photographed 'camel'.

It is rumored that  George Lucas filmed backdrops for Star Wars here.   This is an oft reported story  but I believe it is only wishful thinking and can find no confirmation.
I returned to this group of chimneys at Zelve and climbed down to the base to photograph them against the beautiful blue sky.  It was difficult to get down, almost impossible to get back.  Each time I climbed up I found a chasm too wide to jump between Jean, who had sensible stayed above and myself.  I made it on the 4th attempt.
