The Underground Dragon

Riding the rails, the subway is an easy and convenient way to get around.

Guanyuan Flower and Bird Market

Located close to  Fuchengmen Subway station,  we were (happily) too late in the day to see many caged birds.  Lots of kittens but not many birds.  They also sell household goods and plants.  It was very crowded but had few western visitors.

Young members of an 'English Corner' at the Beijing Youth Palace near Guanyuan.  They come here every Sunday from 2.00pm - 5.00pm to practice their English.  Visitors are made very welcome, it's a rewarding way to spend a Sunday afternoon in Beijing.
