The evening starts aboard the old mahogany barge in which the Oriental transports it patrons across the river.  In the lobby you are greeted by a string quartet and you realize you are in one of the great hotels of the world. Oriental 326.jpg (39404 bytes)

"Dishes are not courses but served all at the same time.  One takes a mouthful of this and that in whatever order one prefers"

Throughout dinner we are entertained by wonderful dancers in magnificent costumes.

There are classical dances  from all areas of Thailand.  One as here depicting the beautiful mythological Kinaree, half bird half maiden.

Others depicting stick duels and grand battles.

Altogether a memorable if expensive evening.
