I really have no idea what these images represent, other than that they are of a Nat Pwe. Pwe being a generic term for a dramatic performance and a Nat Pwe being a performance aimed at calling up the spirits of the Nats. |

This must be one of the Nat Gadaws or Nat wives. Played either by women or male transvestites as is the case here (I think!) |

Unfortunately the symbolism is lost on me. I did notice thatkyat, alcohol, food and cigarettes played an important role. |
