A covered walkway sheltered us from the sun for our 25 minute climb.  We met  few other tourists on the stairs and unfortunately did not see the Yeti , hermit monks in tall hats that the guide books refer too.  

The view across the plain must be fantastic on a clear day.  Even today it is pretty impressive.
