Flights last between 45 and 60 minutes depending on conditions.  The whole experience probably last 2 hrs. 30.min  from the time you are picked up from your hotel in one of B.O.B.'s open sided buses until you are returned,   

The pilots are in contact with each other and the ground staff.  For the last minutes of the flight they are looking for a suitable place to land without damage to the farmers crops.   If damage is unavoidable they pay restitution and a small donation from every flight goes to projects that benefit the local communities.

Before we go our separate ways we share a glass or two of champagne.   

Our pilot,  Keith Dunnefield (sp?) is a former executive with Cameron Balloons in the UK.  He now has the enviable job of traveling the world setting up ballooning operations.  It isn't that expensive a proposition so Barbara and I said we wanted first chance at Balloons Over Yangshuo.  Apparently the bureaucracy in China is even more difficult to navigate than that of Myanmar so it may take some time.

The children were very  interested in the goings on, with the exception of the little guy who is not too sure he likes having his photo taken by a stranger.
