Tubing 

Pick up your tube at one of the guesthouses on Don Det and float down to Don Khon.  Unlike Vang Vieng where they bus you upstream and you float down to the town, here you have to carry your tube back.

Reading

With our feet in the Mekong to cool off.

Cycling and walking 

To the Tat  Somphamit  Rapids

Negotiating 

With a local for a boat ride.

Visiting the endangered Irrawaddy Fresh Water Dolphins.

Best for sightings in the early morning or evening.  We choose the evening and yes we did see them but so far away they could have been porpoise for all we knew.
